Calvados Pays d'Auge Vintage 1970
70cl - 42% Vol
Distilled in 1970, this Calvados Pays d’Auge has matured in oak casks so far.
The ageing was finished in port casks for about two years and one year in sherry casks.
Mature golden amber colour with characteristic greenish reflections, rich sweet nose with fine pastry-like fragrance.
Sweet, supple, silky mouth.
"Powerful delivery with typical baked apple and raisins taste on the palate. Well-balanced fruit and alcohol with lingering finish”.
Decanter, Dec. 1997 (USA)
“This beauty displayed a deep chestnut brown color and an oddly scrumptious fragrance that was burnt and bacon fat-like. I like this bold, assertive bouquet immensely”.
Paul Pacult (USA)
