Carmina Gin

The Christian Drouin house continues to explore new flavor combinations.

After launching Le Gin de Christian Drouin in 2015—the only gin made from more than 30 varieties of cider apples and 7 botanicals carefully selected to perfectly complement the aromas of apple and juniper—Guillaume Drouin introduces a new blend dedicated to red fruits.

Carmina is crafted using the same principles as the original Le Gin: each botanical is macerated and redistilled separately to optimize aroma extraction. The distillates are then blended before bottling. This time, the bouquet is summery, combining flowers and fruits with the addition of raspberry, blackcurrant, elderflower, vanilla, lemon, and orange, alongside juniper and varieties of Normandy cider apples.

The packaging of Carmina retains the identity of Le Gin de Christian Drouin but features a carmine red color code, reflecting the aromatic dominance of this new gin, which is particularly indulgent with notes of raspberry and blackcurrant!

Enjoy it neat or in a gin and tonic, garnished with a slice of lemon and a raspberry.
